Presentations will examine the spectrum of practices and beliefs in the healing arts. Possible topics include, but need not be limited to: research on the scope and effect of alternative health care models; clinical review and diagnostics; integrating alternative health care practices into traditional models; health systems and therapy (insurance, ethics, legal considerations, managed care); use of alternative therapies on acute and chronic health conditions; use of ritual in healing models; cross- cultural healing traditions; scope of practice and the role of practitioners.
We invite research from professionals and academics in the fields such as medicine, nursing, physical therapy, counseling, and psychotherapy. The conference welcomes presentations by practitioners in the fields of allied health, managed care, massage therapy, acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic, naturopathy, and healing arts such as music therapy, arts, and dance.

Keynote speaker will be David Eisenberg, MD, director of the Center for Alternative Medicine Research at Beth Israel Hospital and assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
